Mission: Responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, efficiency, and reliability of machinery, equipment, and systems by doing problem solving, MMS practices and develop countermeasures. To prevent equipment breakdowns, minimize downtime, and ensure that production processes run smoothly, give feedback to the PM program and execution.

What would your typical day look like?

  • Lead the implementation of the predictive maintenance strategy, developing experts, managing specialized tools, job plan designs, documenting success cases, and ensuring the connection with the CMMS to have real-time equipment condition monitoring
  • Design, redesign, and optimize PM and PdM incorporating world class practices, resources efficiency, labor allocation, and failure-mode centered. Guarantee the effectiveness of the planned maintenance through robust designs
  • Perform A3 and pareto analysis to ensure area performance to achieve KPI’s targets (OEE, OA and down times).
  • Get the root cause of major failures following the MMS methodology by investigating electrical, mechanical, or software-related issues. Close the life cycle of the PPS until countermeasures are closed and are effective.
  • Support trouble shooting at shop floor when escalation happens
  • Proactively participate in the implementation of key and prioritized MMS practices (Criticality, PM design, Planning & Scheduling)
  • Concentrate, keep updated, and manage the maintenance’s centralized information (MMS, CMMS, taxonomies, asset information, CapEx, spare parts, RAV, manuals, licenses, software, lessons learned, RASICs, etc.)
  • Define the strategy and run analysis to optimize maintenance spare parts (rotation, classification, incorporations, delisting, obsoletes, audits) to contribute to the working capital reduction in the storerooms
  • Work together with the planners in order to close the temporarily countermeasures and abnormalities
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to recommend and implement equipment upgrades, modifications, or retrofits that can enhance efficiency, safety, and performance
  • Co-develop, support, and give feedback to the skill matrix for maintenance technicians.
  • Analyze training matrix gaps and partner with training department to execute a comprehensive training plan.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize maintenance cost (expenses, labor, overtime) and MRO working capital
  • Work closely with other departments such as production, engineering, and quality control to ensure seamless operations and alignment of goals

Academic and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance roles or similar
  • A minimum of 3 years proven experience in industrial equipment, equipment specification and equipment installation (Preferred)

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent problem solving, planning, team orientation and presentation skills
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point)
  • Safety and Quality oriented
  • Ability to establish own priorities and be self-directed
  • Mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical intermediate / advance knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
  • Experience with writing operational procedures, documentation systems and project management
  • Willing to work overtime with little or no notices (no 2-day notice) and to work any shift or even during weekends.
