POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance on all factory equipment and facilities. They will contribute to the success of Metallics, Inc. by making repairs as needed under minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Perform preventative maintenance (greasing, oil, cleaning, etc.) on factory equipment
2. Trouble-shoot electrical on equipment and machinery
3. Perform repairs on equipment as needed
4. Carry out building maintenance (painting, cleaning, etc.) as required
5. Confer with supervisor for solutions to problems
6. Operate forklift and snow-removal equipment
7. Metal fabrication and welding
8. All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
To successfully perform this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. · Two years of experience working with machinery repairs or similar field
· Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
· Knowledge of a wide variety of machines
· Knowledge of proper safety procedures
· Knowledge of electronics preferred
· Skill of effective communication
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
· Must be able to be on the shop floor all shift
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time
· Must wear proper personal protective equipment (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection, etc.)
· Must be able to work in elevated areas using ladders, lifts, etc
WORK SCHEDULE:
The Maintenance Technician & Fabricator position is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. The hours of this position are Monday through Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm. Extra time is necessary when needed including some weekends.
NOTE: Metallics Inc. management retains the discretion to add to or change the position functions at any time.
