Empire Screen Printing is hiring for a full-time Maintenance Technician on first shift!

FIRST SHIFT: Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. The Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around the facility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to troubleshoot down equipment.
• Understanding of basic electrical including use of multimeter
• Perform routine maintenance around the facility such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door, or wall repair.
• Repair broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures.
• Work on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs.
• Maintain the facility HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly.
• Apply preventative measures to the facility to reduce the risk of future problems.
• Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
• Remove snow from the parking lots and ensure emergency exit paths are solved.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of plant safety rules, safe working methods, and good housekeeping practices.
• Groundskeeping duties such as lawn mowing and weed trimming.
• Cleaning and custodial duties for plant and/or office areas.
• All other duties assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to perform physical labor.
• Basic computer skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience using a wide range of hand and power tools in maintenance, mechanical or carpentry trades required.
• Experience in electrical troubleshooting and installation preferred.
• Experience in mechanics, welding and machine fabrication preferred.
• Experience using technical manuals and schematics preferred.
• Experience with welding preferred.
