Metalex powered by UPG is looking to hire an Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic team in our Libertyville, IL facility! The Inside Sales Representative manages the day-to-day activity within business accounts, consistently looking for ways to grow the assigned book of business. Assigned to specific accounts and markets, the Inside Sales Rep is diligent in building Metalex’ s strategic competitive advantage through the management of current and new customers and/or markets. We strive to build strong relations with our customers by providing high levels of service, valued opportunities, and professionalism in all interactions, allowing us to be fully integrated with our customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer focused approach

  • Identify the needs of each customer and tailor specific solutions that create value, revenue, and profitability for Metalex
  • Establish Metalex’ s strategic capabilities and leverage these to gain a competitive advantage
  • Maintain product knowledge and understanding of customer needs/requirements
  • Interact directly with customers to provide status updates and fulfill service needs

Drive for results

  • Develop and implement business plans and sales strategies for targeted accounts to achieve assigned sales goals
  • Ensure accurate, detailed information to internal and external partners
  • Meet and exceed sales results, company goals and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain adaptability – ability to work independently as well as a member of our team

Collaboration

  • Capture customer job specifications and accurately maintain updates within the Company’s ERP system
  • Oversee and ensure successful fulfillment of orders, working closely Production Planning, Warehousing and Purchasing to ensure on-time delivery and communicate changes or delays to the customer
  • Actively retrieve purchase orders from customer portals
  • Enter customer orders, providing relevant information to internal and external parties
  • Maintain accurate customer profile information.
  • Manage all customer relationships with internal business partners to help ensure timely resolution of the order to cash process.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Communications or Marketing.
  • 1-2 years Inside Sales experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High proficiency utilizing the Microsoft Excel, V-lookups/Pivot tables
  • SAP experience strongly desired
