Meta is Hiring a Facility Operations Business Process Portfolio Manager Near Fremont, CA

Our Data Centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently operates to deliver our innovative services. Meta is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to handle the portfolio of complex, global initiatives aligned with and driven out of the Facility Operations (FacOps) Business Operations Excellence (BOE) organization and help build out best-in-class program management capabilities. The right candidate will thrive working in a fast-paced environment while effectively building structure. They will consider end-to-end systems solutions and take the long view when solving problems, fusing technical and process improvements to usher in the next generation of industry leading data center Facility Operations.The BOE team designs, implements, and continuously evolves global business programs and processes to support all aspects of the Facility Operations organization. This role will work extensively with operational field teams to proactively understand the organization’s pain points and coordinate with a cross functional team of program managers to deliver creative, scalable solutions. The role will assume program leadership of a loose collection of current project streams and bring them together under one unified portfolio, standardizing project intake, roadmap planning, prioritization, communication methods and other fundamental program management functions. They will participate in setting strategic direction for the larger FacOps organization and will drive the team to deliver on multiple fronts to achieve these strategic goals. Acting as a centralized bridge between field and headquarters support teams, they will also establish strong communication channels, feedback mechanisms and success metrics to drive the full organization forward together.

Facility Operations Business Process Portfolio Manager Responsibilities:
  • Provide functional leadership and change management to prioritize, coordinate, and consolidate all FacOps Business Process change initiatives.
  • Collaborate with FacOps teams to help frame and scope problem statements, build requirements, enable resourcing, work with cross-functional stakeholders (including leadership), identify dependencies, reduce risks, and drive progress.
  • Drive communications strategy for overall FacOps Business Process initiatives.
  • Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis of performance and track/ensure program impact.
  • Explore and develop new strategic opportunities for leadership consideration.
  • Provide thought leadership and drive structure for the FacOps business process development, implementation and maintenance strategies.
  • Ensure consistency across data centers through the development and implementation of consistent business processes.
  • Foster mutually beneficial relationships with cross-functional teams and drive teams to productively collaborate on high-stakes initiatives.
  • Quantify pain points around operational issues and prioritize resources in areas that will deliver the greatest impact.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision making.
  • Some domestic and international travel required (10-25%)

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 years of program management leadership experience, to include influencing stakeholders and engineers and “roll-up the sleeves” type of collaboration within a diverse, global, cross-functional team
  • 3 years’ experience as a program manager, working in a matrix management model, demonstrating impact without having any direct reports
  • Experience working directly with management and executive levels, and experience to seamlessly adapt their communication style to suit their audience
  • Experience developing robust programs within ambiguous environments with shifting priorities while maintaining organization and a clear focus under pressure
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering enterprise-level programs, with proven experience to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving experience with large-scale programs, capable of interpreting bottlenecks in complex systems with attention to detail
  • Resourceful and action-oriented, with experience to get things done and overcome obstacles. Skilled at consensus-building while maintaining a results-oriented approach

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • Operational experience in critical environments
  • Demonstrated to quickly adapt, learn new skill sets, and experience to quickly develop a solid understanding of operational challenges
  • Fluency working with data and analytical reports, with the experience to consume large amounts of operational data and identify key trends and themes. Experience with assessing multiple data sources and key metrics to draw conclusions
