Nevada Health District Health Card and Alcohol Awareness Card.JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the VIP Cabana Host Person is to ensure complete customer satisfaction by providing the highest quality of service for our cabana guests. This person will take and deliver food and beverage orders to the cabana guests assigned each day. This is an outdoor seasonal position by the pool. All duties below are to be performed in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to work any day, any shift (including holidays). Must have excellent customer service and communication skills. Must be flexible, adaptable to extreme heat conditions, self-motivated, and able to wear a swimsuit uniform. Must be able to read, write and communicate verbally in English. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Greet and welcome all cabana guests in a professional manner and escort them to their assigned cabana. Present guests with food and beverage menus, take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver orders in a prompt timeframe. Accurately and professionally handle cash/credit card transactions, collect payments for cabanas and any food and beverage items ordered. In addition to food and beverage orders, help with any requests the guests may need, e.g., additional towels, ice buckets, etc. Work closely with the Bartenders and Cafe Staff with beverage and food orders. Clean and set up cabanas before shift and breakdown cabanas at the end of the shift. Clean service stations and stocks supplies pre and post shift. Work well with others, especially pool cocktail servers, bartenders, and members of Beverage and Pool management. Responsible for meeting all Health and Safety Regulations, Company guidelines, service standards, labor standards, and product quality within all areas of the beverage department. Must be well groomed and presentable. Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management. CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS:Listen and pay attention to what is being communicated both verbally and non-verbally. Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner. Go the extra mile with a smile for guests who have special requests or needs. Friendly, helpful, and professional when interacting with guests and team members. Maintain a happy cheerful attitude with guests and team members during stressful periods of peak business. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts due to being outdoors with possible exposure to extreme conditions but not limited to, temperature, heat, water, wind, extensive sun exposure, chemicals, including chlorine, and other pool chemicals, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke. Safety precautions, e.g., use of safe work practices with kitchen or bar equipment, avoidance of trips and fall. This work environment includes varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
