The Shipping Assistant II that supports our Gyros Protein Technologies business has responsibility for processing international (more than $2,500) and freight forwarder shipments. Responsible for completing assigned work orders both independently and with the assistance of the Shipping team.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Model personal Lean Philosophy 5S behaviors in creating a continuously improving, clean, well-organized and self-maintaining work environment. Work closely with team members and others to motivate and improve 5S knowledge and implementation.
• Follow a continuous improvement approach for team accountability for achieving high performance SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Morale) targets through a visual work environment.
• Complies with company ethics, code of conduct, policies, and best practices, with a commitment to safety in the workplace, valuing of diversity, and promotion of a harassment-free environment.
• Process installs and other various fulfillments sent from the Tech Service, Sales or Customer Service departments
• Complete all necessary documentation required for all domestic, multiple domestic and international (<$2500) shipments utilizing various programs (NetSuite, FedEx, UPS and LTL.
• Assist with the control of Finished Goods Inventory including completing the required paperwork, segregating product and assisting with cycle counts.
• Can be responsible party for off-hours work always guaranteeing at least 2 employees on site, with one being either a manager or lead and all related responsibilities.
• Keeping the warehouse and shipping benches in a state of cleanliness.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Education:

• This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years’ experience in a manufacturing shipping and receiving environment
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience
• Reasonable mathematical skills are important for understanding basic calculations.
• Intermediate computer skills and knowledge working with Microsoft Suite products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Qualitative and quantitative reasoning.
• Self-Management - use time efficiently, use professionalism by accepting responsibility for own actions.
• Effective communication skills
• Teamwork
• Quality - demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality.

Compensation/Benefits:

The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and compensation for this position. The package includes base salary, bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k/Match.

Salary for this position is $21.63/hr.
