Mastricola Elementary School is hiring a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant for the 2023/2024 school year. Job Goal: To assist and support kindergarten classroom teacher(s) with educational activities and nonteaching tasks. Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Experience with kindergarten or pre-school children preferred.Early childhood coursework preferredResponsibilities:?Provide one-to-one and/or small group instruction as determined by the teacher.Reinforce teacher’s directions and instruction.Supervise free play activities. Assist the teacher in maintaining appropriate classroom behavior and monitoring specific behavior management programsParticipate in program planning sessions and assess/evaluate student’s needs and progress as requested.Provide feedback and other pertinent information based on observations of students to the classroom teacher and other licensed professionals.Provide a safe environment, supervise students, and accommodate students’ medical/physical needsAssist in the development and utilization of instructional materials and space. Assist with student paperwork and display of students’ work.Demonstrate positive work habits by showing initiative, cooperation, dependability, efficiency, and productivity.Location: Mastricola Elementary SchoolHours Per Day: 7.25Days Per Week: 5Days Per Year: 183Start Date: 2024/2025 School YearPlease apply directly on our website: www.sau26.orgDO NOT apply on School Spring
