Talent Development Program Manager

The Talent Development Program Manager will own talent programs across the company that align team members currently residing in leadership roles, and those striving for career growth, with the needs of the organization. This position will play a crucial role in establishing the company’s leadership principles, orchestrating, and managing solutions, and evaluating the programs for effectiveness and ROI. The Talent Development Program Manager will incorporate talent assessment tools that provide feedback and coaching to program participants and stakeholders at all levels of the organization. In addition, this role will put programs in place to promote general career development with the purpose of preparing team members for new roles in the company and/or growing skillsets to excel in their current ones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee a diverse range of leadership programs and competencies focusing on existing and emerging leaders, such as new leader onboarding, senior department head programs, mentorship programs, leadership coaching, and other leadership development opportunities.
  • Design, develop, and implement tools and programs which cultivate a talent pipeline to enhance the health and efficiency of the organization, its teams, and leaders.
  • Evaluate the current talent program environment and make recommendations to optimize our leadership capabilities and maximize program outcomes.
  • Collaborate with organizational departments to identify key talent needs and skill gaps for succession planning requirements.
  • Incorporate data and metrics to evaluate the impact of programs to determine how they measure against key performance indicators.
  • Utilize talent analytics to celebrate successes and provide insights into program improvement opportunities.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with peer groups, professional communities, and outside vendors to keep up on the latest trends and apply best practices to programs that effectively support the future of our leadership development needs.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, Business Management, or related discipline -- OR -- equivalent professional experience in those fields.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business leadership and organizational development, leadership development, or a related field.
  • Experience managing and supporting organization-wide leadership development programs including live learning sessions, asynchronous learning, coaching etc.
  • A deep experience in adult learning, leadership development and consulting at senior levels, including training and facilitation.
  • Advanced program and project management skills.

 Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Talent or Certifications:

  • Certificate in Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), or similar credentials desired.
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other tools used for virtual meetings, such as Zoom.
  • Ability to implement and manage change.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Capable of working in a collaborative environment using effective organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal English.
  • Effective business and financial acumen while exercising empathy and relatability.
  • Experience with development/feedback assessments, such as 360 Reviews, StrengthsFinder, DDI, Situational Leadership, etc. is a plus.
