Accountant II
Accounting Department - San Jose
Position Summary
Performs a variety of general accounting support tasks in an accounting department including: Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers. Supports monthly close process. Fixed asset and prepaid monthly processing, update and reconciliation. Self-Insurance program funding, manage monthly accrual of self-Insurance program funding to ensure accrual adequacy as required. Bank account reconciliations. Act in a backup role for Daily ACH balancing, ATM related clearing account balancing. Various processes &/or project as assigned.
Performs Accounts Payable, Travel and Expense reimbursement via an outsourced AP platform, verifying accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records. Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
