JOB SUMMARY

The seamstress will have upholstery and cushion experience and will operate or tend sewing machines to join, reinforce, or perform related sewing operations in the manufacture of wheelchair cushions and other Precision Comfort products. this role will also monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions. The finished cushions are then passed on to quality control team members.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Upholstery and cushion experience
Monitor machine operation to detect problems
Cut materials according to specifications, using blades, scissors, or electric knives.
Place spools of thread, cord, or other materials on spindles, insert bobbins, and thread ends through machine guides and components.
Minimum Requirements

Minimum of one year experience with industrial sewing machines
H.S. Diploma or equivalent
Valid State Driver’s License
Good organizational skills
The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in the warehouse environment.
