Generations, Inc., a Tennessee-based NPO/NGO management company is seeking the perfect candidate to join its Accounting/Billing team as a Billing Clerk. In this full-time position (with option for some remote work), the successful candidate will prepare and submit claims to insurance companies and other payor sources using various billing portals, communicate with patients and insurance carriers about outstanding balances, collect payments for services provided, post cash receipts, and follow-up on outstanding accounts receivables for two (2) regional, tax-exempt social/health service companies (Meritan, Inc. and Apelah, Inc.) supported exclusively by Generations. The ideal candidate must have good attention to detail and ensure that the client’s information is accurate and up to date; be able to analyze data and use sound judgment when needed; and have strong written and verbal communication skills to work with patients, clients and insurance companies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• At least 5 years related experience in medical billing

• Medicare billing experience required

• Home Health billing is a plus, but not required
