The role of Network Administrator for the Information Technology department includes but is not solely limited to the following responsibilities: Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols. Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, establishing connections and firewalls. Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor and/or corporate networking. Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation. Upgrades network by conferring with corporate networking and/or vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. Takes responsibility on organization and cleanliness of data center and all outlying network closets. Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Provides additional desktop and peripheral device support as needed. Utilize available vendor support relationships to maximize functionality and sustainability of various systems and applications. Other duties needed as assigned by Director of Information Technology.

Associates in Information Technology strongly preferred. Minimum of five (5) years experience in Information Technology required.
