Job Title: Application Support Analyst

Location: Charlotte or Raleigh, NC/Hybrid

Duration: 12 Month W2 Contract initially

About Us:

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join our dynamic team. The selected candidate will primarily focus on the Electronic Work Execution (EWE) Suite, with secondary responsibilities involving the Nuclear Asset Suite (NAS). We prioritize individuals with cloud experience, leadership capabilities, adept problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. Proficiency in coding/programming, troubleshooting, logical design, SQL, business requirements analysis, vendor management, and root cause analysis and familiarity with ETL/API writing, Kafka, Angular, Python, and AWS technologies would be highly beneficial to the success of this position, as well as previous Tech Lead experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain the availability of assigned applications, ensuring 24x7 on-call support and timely response to production emergencies within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex issues, implementing effective solutions with autonomy and sound judgment.
• Provide clear and concise communication to users, IT management, and other stakeholders regarding downtime, status updates, issues, and defects.
• Program and guide other team members in programming languages such as SQL, Kafka, Python, and demonstrate proficiency in AWS cloud technologies.
• Assist with testing and migration of code, ensuring adherence to design and coding standards, and facilitating design and code reviews.
• Act as a key resource for future system upgrades, including vendor application integration and software enhancements.

Basic/Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5-10 years of experience as an IT Application Analyst or equivalent role.
• Proficiency in coding/programming, troubleshooting, logical design, SQL, business requirements analysis, vendor management, and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with ETL/API writing, Kafka, Python, and AWS technologies.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Angular is a plus.
• Previous technical leadership experience and demonstrated success in managing portfolios of applications.
• Expertise in technical issue resolution and schema/database design.

Work Environment/Schedule:

• Candidates must be local to Charlotte/Raleigh for onsite work two days a week.
• Work schedule is four days per week, 10 hours per day, with an early start time around 7:00 AM for the first meeting.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, approximately five weeks per year, with an average of one escalation ticket per week during on-call periods.
