Position: Program Specialist - Float Staff

Location: Central MN (Maple Lake, Buffalo, surrounding areas)

Schedule: Full Time Position- 35-40 hours/week. Specialists should be available 4 days a week between 6a-10p and every other weekend for scheduling purposes.

MERIDIAN SERVICES provides person centered services to people with intellectual disabilities in a variety of settings, including Residential (group home services), In Home Services/ semi-independent living assistance, vocational services, case management and other supportive programs. Meridian Services was established in 1980 in St. Cloud. We are now based out of Golden Valley, Minnesota. Today, we have grown to 30 group homes, 220 In Home/SILS persons, and 120 Case Managers.

As a Specialist, you will support our people served with daily activities that include working on outcomes designed for each person served at a variety of residential group homes. Outcomes are designed to increase independent in skills. These may include learning more about community resources, finding hobbies, working on personal cares and meal preparations/planning or budgeting. We tailor our services to each person and their needs and wishes. Additionally, as a Specialist, the position entails medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and personal cares for persons served.

As a Specialist, you will need to be comfortable with driving to various locations throughout the area. Specialists are cross-trained at numerous homes and must be able to work with a wide variety of persons with intellectual disabilities, autism, medical needs, assist with personal cares (i.e. showering/bathing/changes), and mental health diagnosis.
