Title: Assistant Trainer
Location: Golden Valley, MN.
Schedule: Full time Monday-Friday typical daytime hours. 1-2 Evening Classes Per Week. Employees are eligible to work from home 2 days a week after 90 days of employment.

The “Assistant Trainer” is responsible for facilitating, tracking completion of, and evaluation of the success of online and in-person trainings for the Direct Support Professional and Management personnel within Meridian Services, particularly in the Residential and In-Home Services Department.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Conduct in person class facilitation of:
    • CPR and First Aid Certification
    • Physical Interventions
    • Person-Served Documentation via Therapp
  • Monitor completion statuses for:
    • Online Onboarding completion
    • In-person Class Attendance
    • Online Annual and Quarterly Class Completion
    • Completion of expiring certifications for CPR/First Aid and Physical Interventions
  • Provide accessible in-person training options for employees by:
    • Creating and posting public training calendar
    • Providing 1 – 2 evening classes per week
  • Prepare Classrooms for successful learning environment:
    • Post Sign in Sheets
    • Prepare Class Resources
    • Prep CPR Mannequins
  • Communicate with:
    • Managers and Supervisors on employee success
    • Training peers on content development
  • Support Learners by:
    • Troubleshooting technology issues
    • Providing documentation of training records
Requirements:
  • Experience in working with people with Intellectual Disabilities Is highly preferred
  • Prior training experience preferred
  • College degree preferred
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written skills)
  • Intermediate Microsoft skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, outlook (or email in general)
  • Outstanding customer service standards and problem- solving abilities
  • Successful clearance from a DHS Background Study upon hire
  • Successful clearance of a motor vehicle background check and own vehicle due to some travel for trainings/meetings for this role.
