Strategic storyteller with exceptional written and oral communication and problem solving skills, a solid understanding of philanthropy, organizational awareness, and experience managing time-sensitive, complex projects from ideation to completion. The development writer will be responsible for collaborating with foundation colleagues, network administrators, and clinicians to research, write, and produce proposals and other materials to support our fundraising efforts. The incumbent must be able to prioritize and advance projects quickly while producing high quality work.

Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as English, Communications, or Nonprofit Management).
  • Experience in philanthropy with knowledge of trends and best practices.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in writing and proposal development, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Experience producing materials for VIP constituents.
  • Highly skilled in writing and editing, research, and problem solving.
  • Collegial team player able to interact effectively with diverse internal and external constituencies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Five (5) years of experience in fundraising.
  • Highly functional with Google Office.
