Responsibilities
The Diet Clerk performs a variety of tasks in the Dining Services and Nutrition Department diet office. Duties include, but are not limited to : preparing and modifying patient menus (including therapeutic modifications per established guidelines, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients), arranging for late meals, snacks, requested item processing, patient complaints and unit requests.
Typical equipment used includes computers, phones, printers and faxes. Excellent interpersonal communication skills as well as attention to detail are a must for successful completion of this position.
