Overview: (DCCA) (VCE) System Administrator - Data Center Engineering

This position is 100% onsite St. Louis (Sunset Hills)

Support of the physical layer of data center and server rooms; installation and decommission of server/storage/network equipment. Installing and maintaining copper and fiber infrastructure within the data center. Monitoring and support of UPS systems, power distribution, and cooling for datacenters and IDF/MDF spaces.

Primary FunctionManages servers, storage, operating systems and applications to ensure availability, recoverability, performance, integrity and supportability through production support and maintenance of existing systems and development and implementation of systems enhancementsAll positions in this job family participate, to some degree, in the following activities:Production Support monitoring, troubleshooting, configuring, enhancing and providing advanced customer supportDeployment / Implementation planning and executing the implementation of new applications or system integration and testingDesign researching, recommending and designing new technologies, new configurations and enhancements to existing systems; providing consulting advice to customers on the capabilities of the network environment

Qualifications:

• Experience: Two (2) years of relevant technical or business work experience.
• Required Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
• Other: Understand basic network concepts. General understanding of a variety of operating systems. Ability to work in a complex technical environment.
• Experience with building/testing/maintaining copper and fiber connections.
• Fundamental understanding of networking and server/storage architecture.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications Excel, Visio.
• DCIM experience preferred but not required.
