Responsibilities

The Director of Strategy & Business Development, in coordination with the Market Director, Hospice; Market Director, Home Health, local agency Administrators and hospital executive leadership, builds the service area brand position, market share and financial sustainability. Drives change initiatives necessary to carry out strategies and ensure that operational decision-making at the facilities aligns with strategic objectives. Operationalizes growth and system alignment strategies.

  • Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Program, including confidentiality HIPAA protected health information.
  • Establishes the vision and drives the market forward through motivating peers and subordinate managers to institute changes as needed. Responsible for collaborating with agency and hospital leadership on strategic planning, strategic management and assuring linkage between the Long Range Strategic Financial Plan and service area strategic plan. Coordinates and drives the service area annual strategic planning process. Manages ongoing implementation of the service area strategic plan and ensures management decisions align with successful plan implementation.
  • Guides strategies designed to enhance service area growth (access to care) and financial sustainability. Oversees Strategy,Business Development, Strategic Marketing, Communications, and Sales; evaluates growth opportunities; develops and plans service lines.
Qualifications
  • Five years of experience in similar role(s) managing health care sales or customer relations staff
  • Bachelor’s Degree - Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree
  • Strong sales knowledge skills and abilities. Proven track record of selling to physicians managed care staff and other health care professionals. Basic knowledge of the healthcare industry Medicare managed care insurance reimbursement and accounting practices. Knowledge of contracting. Articulate and capable of communicating effectively with groups and individuals utilizing good presentation skills and to interact with all levels of staff and management using superior interpersonal and influencing skills and communicates with optimism about the future. Excellent participative management skills demonstrated ability to attract and retain strong performers; effectively leads trains develops evaluates and manages staff performance. Highly motivated energetic individual who excels in managing transitional stages and organizational development in a growth industry. Excellent organizational time management and administrative skills including the ability to set priorities manage multiple demands effectively use good judgment and achieve positive and timely results. Possesses a strong belief in an organizational culture that encourages valuing recognizing and empowering associates and best service excellence practices demonstrated through personal behavior and work ethic. Ability to travel valid driver’s license auto liability insurance coverage according to company policy. Functional ability to operate a PC
