Summary

The Dental Assistant provides general assistance to the Dentist prior, during and after dental procedures. Duties include management of the dental lab, cleaning and monitoring for effectiveness with x-ray processor and sterilization equipment. Exposing and developing x-rays/ assist in four handed dentistry.

Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

? Must possess a high school diploma or GED

? One year of experience

License Requirements:

? Dental Radiation Technologist-DHMH

Certification Requirements:

? N/A

? Pediatrics

? Adults

? Geriatrics

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

? Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following:

? Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel

? Meditech (if applicable to position)

? Epic (if applicable to position)

? Performance Manager/NetLearning

? Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
