Mercy Housing is Hiring a Director, AP & Cash Management Ops Near Denver, CO

The Accounts Payable and Cash Management Director will develop, manage, and implement accounts payable and cash management initiatives that meet strategic service needs. Daily interaction and collaboration with internal departments: including property management, vendors, and senior management, to ensure accurate, timely, completion of all activities while achieving high levels of customer service and compliance. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

Pay: $90,000 - 110,000 salary DOE

Duties:

  • Direct the development and successful implementation of strategic accounts payable and cash management initiatives. 
  • Review and approve systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines. 
  • Maintain relationships with asset managers, geographical business centers, property management, and accountants to ensure continuous communication and partnering. 
  • Review cash flow reports and address any issues or variances.
  • Spearhead the corporate card program, including expanding payment by card to other end users.
  • Participate in preparing operations budget for departments and monitor spending for adherence to budget.
  • Oversee initiatives to provide accounts payable assistance for property staff regarding basic AP functions, and technology used in the accounts payable process.

Minimum Qualifications of Position

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in account payables, receivables, or equivalent, including supervision.

Preferred Qualifications of Position

  • Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management. Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with accountants, vendors, and upper management. Sensitive to cultural and national diversities and can create empathy, influence, and motivate in a multicultural environment. 
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and computerized accounting applications. 
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and integrity.
