Mercy and Truth Healthcare Ministry is Hiring a Front Office Receptionist Near Shawnee, KS

  • Answering phone calls, directing callers to the appropriate office and/or person, and taking messages when appropriate.
  • Scheduling patient appointments per scheduling guidelines.
  • Greeting patients as they walk through the door. Being a ‘friendly face’.
  • Collecting patient information using the appropriate forms.
  • Entering patient information into EMR and receiving patient payments
  • Collecting all billing information and referrals necessary for patients participating in Insurance plans, Medicaid, Farm Workers Program, EDW or other programs accepted by MTMM.
  • Maintaining a current list of unpaid balances, and following up with calls or mailed invoices as appropriate, according to the Clinic Manager.
  • Creating chart for each patient and updating the patient’s demographic information as needed.
  • Performing End of Day tasks including confirming patient appointments for the next day, counting and balancing cash and credit card payments daily.
  • Scanning documents into SOAPware.
  • Utilizing available resources when more information is needed, to include asking the Provider or Clinic Manager.
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.41 - $18.56 per hour
