The MHANJ Program Administrator will report directly to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer (COO) of MHANJ. This position will encompass roles and responsibilities deemed appropriate by Deputy COO and include, but are not limited to, mental health community education and awareness, program implementation and development, assistance in grant writing and submission, assisting in creating staff and supervisor training, data entry, survey development and collection, research, and ensuring quality and effectiveness of programs across the statewide agency.
Responsibilities to Include:
Provide research assistance in grant writing.
Assist in developing and implementing recovery-oriented mental health/substance use/co-occurring/human service programs.
Ability to travel to alternate locations of agency across the state when needed.
Work toward systems change to increase awareness and education and decrease stigma.
Heighten involvement and participation in the recovery and wellness community.
Advocacy with participants within the community & Work collaboratively with outside agencies/organizations.
Provide support, guidance, and direction to program directors and coordinators when deemed appropriate.
Part of the quality assurance team to ensure program compliance, quality, and identify trends for program enhancements.
Create trainings (PowerPoints and Curriculum) when deemed necessary.
Attending and participating in staff meetings, community meetings, training, and events.
Any other duties that supervisor(s) deem appropriate.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in public health or related field preferred; Minimum of bachelor’s degree in public health, psychiatric rehabilitation, psychology, social work.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in providing MH/SUD support and services.
Experience in developing and implementing effective mental health/SUD/cooccurring programs.
Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience preferred.
Finds and upholds a belief in recovery-oriented values and Working knowledge of peer support principles.
Experience in the development and presentations of a variety of training topics.
Experience in presenting in both in-person and virtual settings.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Constant Contact, Social Media platforms, and Survey Monkey.
Ability to multi-task, excellent time management, and be self-motivated/self-starter.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Ability to present self in a positive manner and reflect the values of MHANJ.
Flexible schedule: including possible nights and weekends if needed.
Exhibit enthusiasm, respect, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in the work environment.
A strong sense of, and respect for confidentiality.
Ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally diverse individuals and communities with the ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate.
Excellent communication skills/customer service and organizational skills.
Valid NJ Driver’s License in good standing & reliable transportation required.
