Mental Health Assistance Center is Hiring a Manager of Special Projects Near Tulsa, OK

The Special Projects Manager provides professional project management and analytical expertise in support of all phases of the assigned project including development, planning, execution, and

evaluation as well as motivating and supporting others to achieve goals and

deliverables.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer and Controller with various special projects and financial reporting requests.
  • Gain exposure to various areas – financial reporting, general ledger accounting, forecast, planning, and analysis.
  • Operations support & budgeting; fixed asset accounting; and other accounting/finance duties.
  • Contribute to a high-morale, high-performance culture and demonstrate the ability to organize team efforts to accomplish common goals.
  • Candidates must be self-starters, have the ability to manage multiple deadline-oriented projects, and be able to work with various individuals’ other departments.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field and a year of professional fiscal experience working with sophisticated accounting systems, OR a master’s degree in accounting, OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
    • Thorough knowledge of Accounting. Experience in Non-profits and NetSuite is a plus.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with other data management systems. Must be able to systematically gather relevant information and apply logic to solving problems.
    • Ability to manage relationships with internal and external partners.
    • Works well in a team environment; self-motivated; results oriented.

      WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

      • Work is performed in climate-controlled office setting, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is unlikely.
      • Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (printers, fax machine, phones, etc.)
      • No environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of job duties.
      • Work requires a flexible work schedule due to internal and external meetings. Occasional travel may be required; must have reliable transportation.
      • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
      • Physical ability to move 25 pounds occasionally.
      • Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards of the site and staff behavior.
      • Physical mobility and endurance to perform tasks while standing/walking for long periods of time (60 minutes or more).
      • Ability to safely and properly use office equipment.
