In this role, you will be responsible for providing and maintaining a high-level of cleanliness throughout the Memphis Grizzlies administration building and FedExForum. These facilities are comprised of office environments that include private offices, cubical areas, copy rooms, breakrooms, and restrooms as well as team facilities. We need you to provide exemplary customer satisfaction for our guests when it comes to hygiene, cleanliness, and maintenance of the needed areas. You will also provide training to the housekeeping staff according to health and safety standards created by the organization, and you should ensure that all areas are regularly cleaned and maintained. As the Housekeeper Supervisor, you should also possess exceptional team management and leadership skills.

In This Role You Will

• Provide training the housekeeping staff according to company policies.
• Vacuum and mop floors, dust furniture, clean glass, clean restrooms and breakrooms, stock supplies and empty wastebaskets.
• Monitor performance and recommend disciplinary action in accordance with company rules and policies. Alert upper management of potentially serious issues.
• Ensure all staff is properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective job duties.
• Manage the housekeeping staff according to shifts and availability.
• Advise employees of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action. Provide adequate retraining as needed.
• Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure proper action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
• Inspect all assigned areas to ensure furnishings, guest rooms/suites, equipment, linens, and public areas are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction.
• Keep a record of the cleaning products and restock when necessary.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Evaluate housekeeping staff on the basis of performance.
• Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues to the Engineering Department.
• Follow all company and department standard operating procedures as well as attend training session on operating equipment, chemical usage and company safety training
• Maintain, protect and keep confidential all proprietary information in this work environment.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

The Experience You Will Bring

• High school diploma or GED
• At least two years of housekeeping or hospitality management experience
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience
• Able to maintain confidentiality when needed
• Proven experience of working as a Housekeeping Supervisor, Housekeeper or a similar role in the Hospitality Industry
• Proficient knowledge of industrial cleaning tools and chemicals.
• Excellent team management skills.
• Should be willing to work for different shifts as and when required.
• Great interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills
• May perform other duties as assigned

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience working in Events Management or Sports industry.
• Knowledge of sports and entertainment, specifically NBA basketball.
