Ready for a rewarding new challenge? We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Writer & Content Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about collaborating with clinical leaders and providers to develop compelling communications for patients and the healthcare community. As a key member of our cross-functional Clinical Communication team in the Department of Marketing & Communication, you will play a crucial role in supporting clinicians across MSK. Reporting to our Associate Director, Clinical Communication, this role offers a unique chance to make a meaningful impact in the world of healthcare. You will:

Create new web content and update existing content, including provider profiles, departmental and division pages, patient-facing programs, fellowship information, and other content as needed.
• Meet regularly with key stakeholders on clinical teams and collaborate with other teams to ensure all content is accurate.
• Be proactive in developing and updating content. Implement a regular cadence, format, and content-planning process as needed.
• Develop a process and workflow for sourcing and maintaining Why MSK points of differentiation across multiple disease areas.
• Possess and continually develop digital/web/technology/software skills related to writing and editing, including producing content in MSK's content management system.
• Lead all aspects of projects from start to finish, including gaining an understanding of the scope of work, establishing an appropriate timeline, working across teams within Marketing & Communication and across MSK, and delivering and measuring results.
• Liaise with faculty and clinical staff to anticipate and stay well-informed of any communications needs or emerging priorities in key areas of focus.
• Measure and report on content effectiveness as it pertains to the goals of the Clinical Communication team and Marketing & Communication Department.

You have:

• 4 to 7 years of experience in health writing or communication ideally with experience in-house at healthcare, research, or life sciences institutions; and/or in media.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with SEO and strong copy-editing skills preferred.
• The ability to present complex subject matter in clear, understandable terms for a lay audience.
• A collaborative spirit, solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to communicate with multiple levels of leadership and various stakeholders with differing priorities.
• The ability to multi-task, manage priorities, and deliver work on deadline.
