Job Description
Memorial Sloan Kettering a leading cancer institution dedicated to deliver outstanding patient care, is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Senior Director of Perioperative Services. The Senior Director will be responsible for Advanced Practice Providers primarily in surgical roles. As an organization committed to innovation, patient-centered care, and professional development, we invite qualified candidates to contribute their expertise to our growing and dynamic perioperative team.
Position Overview: We are seeking a strategic and visionary Senior Director of Perioperative Services to lead and elevate our Advanced Practice Providers within the surgical services department. This leadership role involves overseeing and enhancing the contribution of APPs in perioperative care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes, and fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
You Will!

• Develop and implement a strategic vision for the integration and optimization of Advanced Practice Providers within the perioperative services.
• Collaborate with the executive team to align APP initiatives with overall organizational goals.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for APPs within the perioperative services.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, continued education and excellence among the APP team.
• Drive initiatives to enhance the quality of care delivered by APPs.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize workflows and enhance overall care.
• Communicate effectively with key collaborators throughout the hospital ensuring alignment of APP strategies with organizational objectives.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes affecting perioperative services and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and guidelines.

You Have!

• Active NYS Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License
• Active or eligible to apply for NJS Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure/privileges
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience within perioperative services.
• Proven track record of successfully leading, developing, and supporting APP teams.
• Strong knowledge of perioperative care, surgical services, and relevant regulations.
