ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

  • N/A

Position-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Works with MRH Department Leaders to identify and develop projects that are competitive for grant funding, researches grant programs, and creates effective grant applications.
  • Provides administration for the grants process throughout all stages including receiving, assessing, tracking, payment/check requests, documenting all inquiries and/or proposals; assuring that submitted documentation meets all legal requirements; and maintaining accurate and timely records of grant-making and other programmatic activities.
  • Develops competitive grant projects and proposals in conjunction with departments of MRH.
  • Investigates, researches and analyzes legislation relating to federal, state, and local grant programs.
  • Obtains access to new legislation relating to current and future programs.
  • Ensures that Federal and State requirements are followed and that the MRH is in good standing with these agencies.
  • May coordinate with engineers and contractors to ensure timely completion of grants/loans.
  • Assists in setting short and long-range goals for the department relating to financial and informational data processing needs and technology.
  • Assists in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget where grants are concerned.
  • Works with the Accounting Department to gather information necessary to report to funders on current grant programs.
  • Supports departments to comply with all grant reporting and updates as required by funders and donors.
  • Maintains current records in database and in files, including grant tracking and reporting in accordance with all retention policies for these documents.
  • Tracks statistics relevant to development and provide each department with written materials necessary for donor stewardship as well as long term planning goals of MRH.
  • May be necessary for the person to work a hybrid or remote work schedule.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Occasional weekend work to support special events.

  • Adheres to MRH attire/dress code per policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes initiative; strives to maintain a steady level of productivity; self-motivated; and manages activity and time.
  • Completes annual education, training, in-service, and licensure/certification requirements; and attends departmental and organizational staff meetings or reads meeting minutes.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Reports to work on time as scheduled; completes work within designated timeframes.
  • Actively participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Strives to uphold regulatory requirements to ensure continual compliance with departmental, hospital, state, and federal regulations and policies.
  • Follows policies and procedures for infection control, safety, and risk management to ensure a safe environment for patients, the public, and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions with a valid driver’s license).
  • Must be able to legally work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
  • Must complete employee health meeting.

Required Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or relevant field, preferred.
  • Current, valid Driver’s License, required.

Experience:

  • Two (2) years of experience, preferred.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of grant community networks and resources.
  • Hospital and/or health experience, preferred.

Position Classification: Exempt 

Compensation Range: $69,742 to $104582
