Memco is seeking skilled welders to join our team. As a welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components using various welding techniques. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Schedule: Mon - Fri ; 7am - 5pm
• Pay: $20 - $24/hr
• Type: Full-time
• Must provide proper identification and be able to pass a 5 panel drug test

Responsibilities:

1. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding process.
2. Set up welding equipment including selecting the correct welding tools and materials.
3. Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding by removing rust, dirt, and other impurities.
4. Perform welding tasks using techniques such as MIG, TIG, arc, and oxy-acetylene welding.
5. Monitor welding processes to ensure proper heat, penetration, and adherence to welding specifications.
6. Inspect welded joints and workpieces for quality and conformance to standards.
7. Troubleshoot welding issues and make adjustments as necessary.
8. Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
9. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
10. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
11. Continuously strive to improve welding skills and techniques through training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a welder or similar role.
2. Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, arc, and oxy-acetylene welding.
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
4. Strong attention to detail and precision.
5. Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
6. Familiarity with welding equipment and tools.
7. Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to welding.
8. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
9. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
10. Certification in welding techniques is preferred but not required.
