Job Summary

THE LITIGATION LEGAL ASSISTANT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SUPPORTING OUR ATTORNEYS AND LITIGATION PARALEGAL

IN ALL ASPECTS OF LITIGATION, FROM CASE INTAKE TO TRIAL PREPARATION, WITH A FOCUS ON BEING PROACTIVE AND

STAYING AHEAD OF DEADLINES AND REQUIREMENTS. THE ABILITY TO LOOK AHEAD AND ANTICIPATE NEEDS IS EXPECTED.

· ASSISTS THE LITIGATION DEPARTMENT BY MAINTAINING CLIENT MEDICAL RECORDS, INCLUDING ORDERING RECORDS FROM VARIOUS PROVIDERS, FOLLOWING UP ON AND LOGGING IN MEDICAL RECORD AND BILL INFORMATION INTO OUR CASE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

· MANAGES THE LITIGATION CALENDAR CLOSELY AND ENSURES ALL UPCOMING DATES ARE NOTED AND

PARALEGAL / LITIGATION ATTORNEY ARE FULLY PREPARED

· ASSISTS IN DEPOSITION AND WITNESS PREPARATION

· COMMUNICATES WITH CLIENTS, EXPERTS, WITNESSES, AND OPPOSING COUNSEL AS NECESSARY

· ORGANIZES AND MAINTAINS ELECTRONIC AND PHYSICAL CASE FILES. CASE FILES WITHIN MELDON LAW’S CASE

MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE MUST BE ALWAYS KEPT CURRENT

· PROVIDES ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT AS NEEDED, INCLUDING FILING, ANSWERING PHONES, AND SCHEDULING

APPOINTMENTS

· PREPARES MEDIATION, HEARING AND DEPOSITION NOTEBOOKS IN ACCORDANCE WITH MELDON LAW’S

STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES

· ADHERES TO MELDON LAW PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS SUCH AS KPI’S AND SOP’S AND MAINTAINS THE MELDON

LAW STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE BY EXHIBITING MELDON LAW’S CORE VALUES OF COMPASSION, ACCOUNTABILITY, RELIABILITY, EXCELLENCE AND SENSE OF URGENCY
