We are a workers' compensation and personal injury law firm looking to hire a legal assistant/paralegal who can work up to a full-time 40 hours per week. We believe we can work more effectively face-to-face. Candidates must be able to travel to our Charlotte office 5 days per week, but we are open to discussing some remote work options. While experience is preferred, we can train the right candidate. This can be a good opportunity for a college student or someone taking paralegal courses.
The legal assistant/paralegal will schedule mediations and appointments, communicate with clients about their cases, assist with new client intake, prepare letters and pleadings, answer discovery, and perform administrative tasks such as checking mail and filing.
A Spanish-speaking candidate is preferred. The ideal candidate should have good written and verbal communication skills to interact with potential and existing clients, insurance companies, and opposing counsel. Organization and meeting deadlines are also important.
There is growth potential in responsibilities as well are hours per week as we grow as a firm. We are looking for a person who can help our firm grow, provide exemplary service to our clients, and hopefully become a long-term part of our practice.
