We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller/expert to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing home care services.

Important to know how to bill Medicaid in RI using Sandata, Neighborhood Health, Blue Cross, UHC and other plans.

Ensuring timely reimbursement, and maintaining patient records.

This is a crucial role in our medical office, and we are looking for someone with strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of medical billing processes.Responsibilities:

- Review and analyze records to accurately assign appropriate codes for procedures and diagnoses
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations, such as ICD-9 and ICD-10
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, resolving any billing discrepancies
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes
- Maintain accurate patient records, including demographic information, insurance details, and billing history
- Process payments from patients or insurance companies and apply them to the appropriate accounts
- Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding systems and billing regulations

### Skills:

- Proficient in medical coding systems, including ICD-9 and ICD-10
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid billing processes and procedures
- Familiarity with medical collection systems and software
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing practices
- Ability to analyze medical records and assign appropriate codes for procedures and diagnoses
- Effective communication skills to interact with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers
- Strong organizational skills to manage patient records and billing documentation
