MedVantx is Hiring a Supervisor, Production Pharmacy Near Louisville, KY

Job Summary/ObjectiveThe Production Floor Supervisor will work closely with the Manager, Production Pharmacy, to oversee all aspects of the Medvantx production floor. This role will assist in setting the department’s daily workflow and operations and will provide production support, training, and consistent and sustained relationship building processes to maximize our client and patient experience. This position will oversee direct reports and provide individual performance goals, coaching, and training of staff on new product/service rollouts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of employees by focusing on daily coaching, teaching and feedback as well as focus on hiring, rewarding and developing a high performing team
  • Consistent communication with the Production Pharmacy Manager to provide necessary updates regarding product volume, shipping delays and concerns
  • Engage and support quality-centric behaviors through production monitoring efforts of all staff multiple times a week. Review results and make modifications as needed to provide quality driven change.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with Clients
  • Support the development and implementation of an ongoing training plan for the Production Team
  • Report daily, weekly and monthly results related to production activities including productivity and quality metrics to the Production Pharmacy Manager
  • Promote and develop process enhancements and solutions to maximize department efficiencies. This may include working closely with the quality and compliance teams
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with technician workforce. Also, update the Production schedule each week and monitor monthly time off calendar for each scheduled shift
  • Monitor and communicate with Production Pharmacy Manager the productivity of technicians to provide timely and in-depth feedback whether positive or constructive to improve on team and individual goals
  • Complete and submit payroll information for direct reports on a timely basis per pay period
  • Manage and provide support for Productions operations, including, but not limited to, picking, packing, or manifesting. Follow-up on errors and technical issues, and any other items related to the production floor
  • Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and discretion in dealing with both internal and external customers
  • Other projects as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 2 years in pharmacy and production environment
  • 2 years in a managerial position
  • Ability to work well under pressure, managing competing deadlines and meeting tight deadlines

  • The physical demands of this position are in keeping with general office functions: sitting, using a computer, keyboard, telephone, navigating an office setting, etc
  • The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
