We know equity starts beyond our workplace, and we must play a role in addressing systemic inequities in our communications if we hope to have long-term sustainable impact.Anchored in our Mission, we continue to drive ID&E forward both to enhance the well-being of Medtronic employees and to accelerate innovation that brings our lifesaving technologies to more people in more places around the world.A DAY IN THE LIFECHANGE MANAGEMENTChampion the ACM R&D organization, process, structure changes in a way that engages and excites the end user community.Design the change strategy and develop the detailed change plan in alignment with a structured change framework.Lead change management activities in partnership with the core team and key stakeholders.Identify change impacts by stakeholder group and develop change strategies to manage risks.Evaluate stakeholder resistance at the user, process, and technology level, identify other change risks and develop change mitigation plans to support adoption and manage risk.Identify where actions are required to ensure stakeholder commitment.Define and execute the communication plan and engagement strategy. Help prepare material for key meetings, such as the Executive Steering Committee, etc. Partner with training team to identify learning objectives and develop training plan.Measure organizational readiness and change adoption; adapt change activities as appropriate. Oversee and advise on change plans and activities. Guide stakeholders to prepare for and successfully adopt the change.Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the decisions and performance related to the change request.PROGRAM MANAGEMENTResponsible for prioritizing and budgeting strategic initiatives while managing dependencies between projects. Driving alignment across the program and product management core teamsDelivering a program that meets customer needs, business needs and market needs on time, budget, and scope. Provide necessary leadership including Program/ project interdependency analysis.Work closely with project sponsor, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department.PROGRAM MANAGEMENT CAREER STREAMProgram Managers focus on tactical, operational activities for a major program with broad or ongoing impact. Levels within the program management career stream typically accomplish program objectives through matrixed employee teams and / or vendors who are not direct reports but for which the incumbent has direct accountability to lead. Most of the time is spent overseeing their area of responsibility, managing program/team performance, communicating project and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of program team members. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of program team members.MUST HAVE: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS·Bachelor’s degree required.·Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience·Excellent knowledge of systems including PowerPoint, MS Project·Ability to establish and maintain a trusted role with the various stakeholders in coordinating multiple functions across the organization.·Proven oral and written communication skills. Effective communication skill with ability to explain complex concepts simply to senior leadership.·Proficient in structured problem-solving techniques

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

Nice to Have

·Previous Medtronic experience

·Medical Device industry experience- knowledge of new product development, DRM, clinical trial management, quality systems, global regulatory experience.

·Advanced degree such as MS, MBA, with strong financial acumen

·Extensive experience leading a complex project/programs

·Positive energy and a “can-do” attitude.

·A drive for continuous improvement and a passion to be a change agent.

·Strong leadership skills with proven record of managing successful project/teams.

·Experience implementing initiatives through effective influence management skills at multiple levels of the organization.

·Must be comfortable with ambiguity, adept at change management, and resilient when difficulties are encountered.

·Excellent facilitation and issue resolution skills.

·Collaborative team player; embrace a partnership approach, comfortable in working in cross functional teams.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

 

  • Usual office environment with frequent* sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional* climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and balancing.
  • Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone.
  • Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally* and/or 10 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to move from department and buildings to interact with others.
  • Ability to travel frequently*, domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to provide afterhours support.
