Unit Highlights
Nurses on Postpartum Unit 5D/5F are committed to providing family-centered care to every family. To promote healthy birth outcomes, we manage the high-risk antenatal population in conjunction with the “Special Mom, Special Baby” Program. In this program we see a wide variety of diagnoses that include but not limited to congenital anomalies of mother and/or baby, premature rupture of membranes, diabetic management, hypertension etc. Our achievement of Baby Friendly Designation demonstrates our commitment to supporting our community with initiation, promotion, and suitability along their breastfeeding journey. Additionally, the interdisciplinary healthcare team collaborates to ensure rooming-in, skin to skin, and breastfeeding exclusivity is accomplished. Above all, our postpartum nurses are proficient with consistently assessing, identifying, and addressing patient’s educational needs and barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plansappropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
Active RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
