General Summary of PositionAssists with in room preoperative and intra-operative preparation of patients, and assists with set up of the surgical suite before, during and after a surgical procedure under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications Education

• Completion of accredited surgical tech program required

Experience

• Prior work experience not required New grad required and
• 1-2 years Experience in a hospital setting required and
• Surgical experience required

Licenses and Certifications

• CPR Certification required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external customers
• Knowledge of different types of procedures: Orthopedic, General, GYN, Vascular Surgery
• Basic Computer skills to perform Data entry
• Computerized clinical information systems such as Clinicians View, GE Manager
• HIPAA policies on Confidentiality
