MedOne Healthcare is Hiring an AP Clerk Inventory Specialist Near Phoenix, AZ

MedOne is an AZ-based home medical provider specializing in making life easier for everyone we serve. Our primary services are focused on providing equipment and supplies to medically complex individuals and their caregivers. We seek a detail-oriented AP Clerk Inventory Specialist who will support and be tasked with paying bills, processing accounts payable, processing purchase requests, and overseeing key areas of our inventory process.

The AP Clerk Inventory Specialist is an individual who performs daily accounting and inventory tasks to support our Financial/Operational teams. The AP Clerk Inventory Specialist will help the Controller with accounting/bookkeeping tasks, including AP, GL, & bank reconciliations, financial analysis, month-end close, and timely financial reporting. They will support the creation of new inventory items and purchase requests and receive inventory goods/products accurately and efficiently into the system of record and internal office inventory locations.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintaining accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and information related to supplies and inventory.
  • Process accounts payable, document financial transaction details, and monitor the transactions. Process checks and related reconciliations to bank accounts.
  • Sorting, processing, and coding invoices correctly and entering details into accounting software systems. Reconcile invoices and statements from vendors.
  • Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; prepares and issues purchase requests and monitors shipment details to ensure on-time arrival.
  • Ensure all inventory products are received, counted, and stored accurately and efficiently. Maintain accurate records of inventory and receiving transactions, including 3-way match for accounting and audit purposes.
  • Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, creating new product IDs in the system of record, answering telephone calls, assisting customers, and labeling shelves.
  • Prepares inventory and accounting reports for management, including stock levels, ordering and purchasing trends, high and low-use items, and financial summaries.
  • Develop and implement SOPs for inventory management and continuously improve inventory operations.
  • Review and analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.
  • Performs other related duties as apparent or assigned

Education Level:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field a PLUS

Work Experience or Related Experience:

  • Experience working with accounts payable is strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of general accounting experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in an inventory related role

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting principles
  • Self-starter, able to display the highest integrity and respect for confidentiality
  • Ability to exercise practical judgment and sensitivity to changing needs and situations
  • Organized, with great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data.
  • Must possess a strong sense of urgency and the ability to adapt to a changing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently at times and within a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact collaboratively with other departments and teams
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and succeed in a fast-paced work environment

Work Environment, Surroundings, and Demands:

  • Work is performed onsite in an office suite environment.
  • The office environment requires the use of standard office equipment (i.e., computers, printers, copiers, telephones)
  • Sitting in a desk setting for prolonged periods while using standard office equipment
  • May be required to push or pull objects weighing 20 lbs. – 60 lbs. or heavier items with standard equipment to assist (i.e., pallet jack).
