Medina Healthcare System is Hiring a Front Office Receptionist (PRN Weekends) Near Hondo, TX

DescriptionSummaryInterviews incoming patient or representative and enters information required
for admission into computer by performing the following duties.
RequirementsEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Interviews patient or representative to obtain and record name, address, age, religion,
persons to notify in case of emergency, attending Provider, and individual or insurance
company responsible for payment of bill.
Explains clinic regulations such as, payment of accounts, and schedule of charges.
Escorts patient or arranges for escort to assigned room or ward.
Enters patient admitting information into computer and routes printed copy to designated
department.
Obtains signed statement from patient to protect clinic's interests.
Compiles data for occupancy and census records.
Receives payments on accounts.
May schedule appointments, perform secretarial tasks, complete provider referrals and
confirm insurance coverage.
