Summary: Collaborates with and supports the VP of Assessment Coordination to ensure overall department goals and responsibilities are implemented and executed. Responsible for education, guidance, and development of RDACs, as well as implementation of RAI systems/programs as directed by the VP of Assessment Coordination. Collaborates with corporate, regional, and facility interdisciplinary teams. Provides direction, oversight, and leadership for the resident assessment instrument (RAI) department of assigned facility(s).

Qualifications:
Education:
  • Must have nursing degree (or diploma) from accredited college - RN
License/Certification:
  • Michigan RN license required
  • AANAC Certification
Experience:
  • Must have 5 years working with RAI process and PPS at the regional or above level.
  • Multi-facility experience preferred based in Michigan
  • Experience in Case Mix preferred
Essential Functions:
  • Able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Able to move intermittently throughout the work day.
  • Practice regular and predictable attendance.
  • Understand and follow company policies.
  • Assist with development of systems/processes in collaboration with all impacted departmental teams to ensure regional and facility staff can perform efficiently. (i.e., RAI policy/procedures, quality measures, triple check, case mix, SNF QRP, SNF VBP, etc.)
  • Provides education, training, and support to regional and facility staff on, but not limited to, RAI processes, case mix, LOCDs, Medicare/Medicaid/Insurance, quality measures, and triple check.
  • Leads and/or participates in various calls/webinars as directed.
  • Work in collaboration with regional teams for facility visits/audits.
  • Participate in recruitment, selection, and training of regional MDS staff as requested.
  • Participate in company initiative projects as directed.
  • Compliance monitoring for assigned area (i.e., MDS accuracy and timeliness, appropriate utilization of resources, survey readiness, care plans).
  • Coordinates with VPCS's to conduct audits and review reports as requested.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and email.
  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively.
  • Ability to provide education to professional and non-professional staff.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines governing nursing functions in long-term care.
  • Must understand all RAI related topics, ICD10 coding, Medicare conditions of participation.
  • Ability to plan, organizes, develop, implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of clinical services.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information
