Medical West is Hiring a Pharmacy tech Near Bessemer, AL
Under the direct supervision of the pharmacist, the pharmacy technician shall assist the pharmacist in completing all tasks required to provide excellent and timely care to the patient.
- Prepares medications for delivery after verification by the pharmacist, while maintaining proper handling, usage, and storage.
- Maintains pharmacy medication storage areas for cleanliness, organization, and expiration dating.
- Employees will be required to follow any job-related instructions and perform any job-related duties requested by the pharmacist or Pharmacy Director.
- Attends all mandatory education and training programs (including department specific) and can describe his / her responsibilities related to general safety and regulatory compliance, as well as department safety and specific job-related hazards.
- Maintains all required CEUs for certifications and licensure.
High school diploma or GED required. Pharmacy Technicians shall maintain, in good standing, the appropriate registration with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy.
