Position Summary:
Radiology Technologist assists in patient care and obtains diagnostic images of the patient. The position involves carefully giving the patient proper instruction, reassurance and respect. The employee must demonstrate acceptable radiographic skills and the judgment and ability to work independently, along with being assigned senior/management responsibilities as they apply to equipment/supply maintenance and inventory, billing and meeting accreditation standards.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. An Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
Training and Experience:
1. Current BLS Certification through the American Heart Association upon hire or transfer to department.
2. Minimum one year experience as a Radiology Technologist is desired. Experience in a clinic setting is preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities desirable but not mandatory.
Job Knowledge:
Position requires knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe work environment. Required skills include: meeting and maintaining quality control standards, ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations; and the ability to communicate effectively and clearly
