The Mkt. Director of EVS maintains the highest possible standard of cleanliness and customer satisfaction at the Flagler / St.

Johns healthcare facilities. Leads the vision / strategy and performs the coordination / planning / managing of Environmental Services and Patient Transport where applicable.

Responsible for the supervision and accomplishment of the personnel maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Ensure throughput advancement by efficient patient movement throughout the facility. Plans, organizes, supervises, coordinates and controls the activities of the Environmental Services Department.

Must work closely with all departments and staff to ensure the patient's best interest is top priority.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : Develops annual vision, goals and objectives for environmental services and patient transport consistent with the mission and strategic plan of the organizationAssigns duties to ensure work tasks are accomplished efficiently and ensures that adequate staff and supplies are available for the shiftReviews and updates policies and procedures to insure they remain in compliance.

Ensures compliance with TJC, Federal, State and Local regulations and standardsPrepares, evaluates and controls the department's annual budgetRegularly surveys departmental procedures for adherence to acceptable cleaning practicesRegularly surveys departmental procedures for adherence to acceptable transportation practicesSupervises all staff by assigning work, training, hiring evaluation performance, progressive discipline and recommending termination as is appropriateResolves patient satisfaction concerns in a timely mannerMay be responsible for clean linen distributionMaintains all tracking and accountability of suppliesReview and interpretation of operational and cultural metrics and action planningPerforms other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED : Ability to maintain productivity goals and supply costs according to budgetary targetsAbility to manage the day-to-day activities in supervising EVS and Patient Transport leaders and staff including mentoring, training, hiring, terminations, orienting and evaluating performanceKnowledge about best environmental practicesBasic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED : · Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or Related Field· 5 years of management / leadership experience in Healthcare Environmental Services or Patient Transport

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES· Manages and delegates responsibility to the EVS & Transport leaders and assigns tasks to EVS personnel maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff
