Job Title NCS Industrial Design Exhibits Lead

Job Classification Exempt

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise the exhibit and events team at Johnson Space Center, which includes supervision of all installations
• Occasional travel required
• Responsible for industrial design requirements in support of NASA exhibits and events
• Ensure design activities take into account aesthetics, targeted audience(s), and NASA theme(s) and message(s)
• Report to customers on exhibit concepts and design requirements
• Accountable for the production of construction documentation and fabrication
• Prepare and design CAD models/renderings and other design/presentation files
• Generate and track schedules, noting dependencies and anticipating workload capacity constraints
• Create estimates, select, and work with vendors
• Attend and inspect installations
• Generate routine and/or ad-hoc reports for OCOMM management/OCOMM customers
• Interface with management and/or customers, as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial design, architecture, or similar
• Experienced in CAD software, including Solidworks and Keyshot
• Must have 5 years of directly related experience
• Supervising or management experience desired
• Proficient in oral and written communications, including writing and editing

If required, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time to visit other company sites. Must have hearing and speech to

This position may require an employee to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance, reach, push, and pull. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
