• Process and review personnel security clearances and maintain all security documentation, files, and clearance and suitability rosters
• Implement procedures and controls to safeguard classified as well as special program information
• Provide and document new employee security briefings, exit interviews and debriefing, investigate and report security violations and incidents
• Ensure document control and protect, handle and safeguard Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
• Provide employees with personnel security guidance (consistent with the 13 adjudicative guidelines), to best assist them in managing their clearances
• Maintain all security documentation and files in accordance with DSS requirements
• Review personnel security clearance request packages for accuracy and completeness
• Provide security support to Human Resources, Contracts, and Proposal teams
• Oversee the development and implementation of security awareness training programs
• Provide clear communication with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA)
• Monitor visitor access and badge usage, issuing visitor passes as needed

• Must be able eligible for or have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in security management, business administration, or related field
• Knowledge of the government security and information assurance processes
• Proficiency in the use of Personnel Security Management databases such as JPAS, NISS, and e-QIP
• Proven experience developing and implementing security programs
• Maintain classified holdings and prepare classified transmittals in accordance with NISPOM guidelines and requirements
• Strong understanding of security principles, procedures, and practices
• Skilled in Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint
• Must have good problem-solving skills and great attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer. To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
