We are a busy Physical Therapy Clinic located in Long Beach, CA

looking for a Billing Coordinator. Part or Full time.

Duties include:

• Medical Billing Coordination : Interact via phone-email-software app, with our third party Billing Company (Kareo) to ensure smooth claim submission and appeal.
• Review, audit insurance payments and explanation of benefits (EOB) for mistakes, patterns, non-payment...
• Answer patients' billing related questions and receive direct payments.
• Front desk staff supervision (3 people):
• .........Ensure that proper authorizations are received for different Health Insurances, .........HMO,Workers Comp., ...
• .........Ensure that new referrals are scheduled in a timely manner.
• .........Ensure that patients data is entered accurately in the system to maximize smooth .........claim submission.
• .........Monitor staff interaction with patients, and their satisfaction. Train as needed.
• Cover the front desk duties as needed
• Verify insurance benefits and request for treatment authorization as needed
• Answer Phones / Fax / Scan / File / Print / Mail

Qualifications :

• Medical Billing Experience (1 year minimal)
• Experience as a medical biller, medical billing specialist, medical billing clerk, or experience in medical coding are a plus
• Staff supervision Experience a plus
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly recommended
• Experience with and knowledge of medical and health insurance terminology.
• Exceptional verbal communication and telephone skills
• Knowledge of Word, Excel
• Ability to learn new software (we use WebPT and Kareo billing software) and fast web browsing
• Accurate data entry verification/audit
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Collaborative and Positive attitude
• Able to Multi-task effectively
• Detail Oriented

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
