Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse - Cardiac

Duration: 12-month Contract-to-Hire

• Nurse-Patient ratio 1:6, working to bring this down to 1:5

This is a medical/surgical unit whose focus is the care of patients with cardiovascular diagnoses including; congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This unit also focuses on the treatment of post interventional cardiovascular surgery patients including; CABG, valve replacement, heart catheterization, and peripheral vascular surgeries such as revascularization and amputations. This unit is a high-paced unit with strong values in collaboration, teamwork, compassionate care, and professional growth and development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires an Associate's of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Generalized Progressive Care experience.
• Generalized Medical Surgical care experience.
