The Senior Vice President, Sales sits on our Sales Leadership team and will own our entire North America Sales organization across the US, Canada, and LATAM regions. This role reports directly to our CRO.

Responsibilities
  • Build & maintain a high-performance sales culture. This is generally defined as meeting or exceeding Sales targets with broad participation, wherein every member of the team feels valued, rewarded & accountable for their contributions.
  • Own, drive, and accurately forecast new software bookings, retention, and upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Partner directly with leaders in product, marketing, enablement and operations to prioritize investments based on the needs & areas of growth potential in your purview.
  • Create and continuously optimize effective strategies for top and bottom line revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Attract, recruit, and hire future Sales Leaders and President's Club attendees.
  • Inspire, develop and retain high-performing Sales Leaders and Individual Contributors.
  • Lead other key areas of the Sales Ecosystem (such as Account Management and SDRs).
  • Build and execute relationships and go-to-market strategies with key Medallia partners, such as management consulting firms and global system integrators.
  • Partner internally with Sales Ops and Marketing to continuously improve our sales approach and win rate.
  • Run an operationally sound sales team.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related Sales experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 12 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience at an enterprise software company across first, second, and third line leadership roles.
  • Consistent track record of overachieving quota and revenue goals as a sales leader.
  • Proven ability to continuously coach and develop sales leaders.
  • Excellent operational and analytical skills that include the consistent use of data to drive efficiencies and improvements across the sales organization.\
  • Strong executive presence and presentation experience (via both in-person and video calls.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Builds and maintains C-suite relationships with a track record of building strong customer relationships
  • Proven ability to drive transformational change across a large organization with a dynamic approach and a focus on execution and results
  • Understanding of customer and employee experience management
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce/CRM, Excel and other productivity tools

Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $260,000-$370,000. This position is commission eligible. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Medallia considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, candidate's work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
