Medacare transportation, INC is Hiring a Road Safety and Training Supervisor Near Cincinnati, OH

FUNCTION:
The Road Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all fleet operations meet company standards and are in compliance with all governmental or regulatory standards. Ensure efficient mechanical operation and appearance of each vehicle is maintained. Monitor all accident and injury investigations. Monitor comments and complaints of clients/passengers regarding service, especially feedback regarding the safety of passengers. Ensure all daily routes are supplied with drivers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with driver orientation, training, and compliance process.
  • Teaches safety classes as required. Co-ordinates and conducts re-cert and retraining as needed. 
  • Investigates incidents, accidents, and work-related injuries including assist with accident determination and root cause analysis, accident reports, accident files, accident register. Provides post-accident retraining of drivers as necessary. 
  • Prepares and submits accident-related compliance forms, or otherwise submits data to appropriate person. 
  • Assists with or conducts quarterly safety meetings based on company safety and safety training goals and objectives. 
  • Provides assistance and training to drivers on passenger management and other safety related issues. 
  • Performs driver road checks of driver performance (e.g., pre-trip checks-lot-to-school and back; post trip checks).
  • Provide management with reports to assist with the evaluation of route and schedule effectiveness. Develops cost saving recommendations.
  • Assist drivers with questions, customer assistance and overall on the road support.
  • Continuously drives improvement, evaluating route and schedule effectiveness and safety measures.
  • Participates in internal audits and assists operations in addressing audit recommendations.
  • Maintain knowledge of all applicable, federal, state and safety regulatory requirements.
  • Stay abreast of developing regulatory requirements, particularly on a state and local level.
  • Keep agency informed of new and developing regulations.
  • Conducts self in accordance with HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
  • Performs all other duties as required and assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license. 
  • Able to perform work in a professional manner with minimal supervision.
  • Exhibits leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally with a diverse group of people. Fluent in English/ Russian is a plus and able to work effectively and appropriately interact with employees of all levels including drivers, customers, senior management, client representatives, and general public. 
  • Not been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor. 
  • 2 to 3 years transportation, safety, or related experience.
  • Knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations regarding safety and environmental issues.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Good verbal, written and relational communication skills, with ability to appropriately interact with employees of all levels including drivers, customers, senior management, client representatives, and general public.
  • Must be able to pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
  • No suspensions, DUI, or More than 1 citation in the past 5 years.
  • Must pass criminal background check.
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • Regular attendance is required .
