Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis in Virginia (VA). As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for individuals of all ages who are experiencing physical, developmental, or emotional challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' functional abilities, strengths, and challenges.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, clients' goals, and evidence-based practice.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve clients' independence in activities of daily living, mobility, fine motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive function.
• Provide education and training to clients, families, and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment use, and home modifications to promote safety and independence.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
• Document all assessment findings, treatment interventions, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and timely in compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Monitor clients' progress regularly and modify treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy practice through continuing education, professional development activities, and participation in conferences or workshops.
• Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of clients' information at all times.
• Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• CPR certification (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach towards clients and their families.
• Experience working with diverse populations across the lifespan is desirable.
• Proficiency in computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
